The US National Weather Service has issued a lake effect snow warning for all of Erie County starting just after the lunch hour.
While Buffalo is only expected to get a few inches of snow today, the weather service says gusty winds and the timing of the snow will make for a tricky drive home later today with blowing snow causing reduced visibility.
In Niagara, we are forecast to get 2-4 cm of snow today but the problem will also be the wind which will cause reduced visibility on area roads and highways.
