With less than 24 hours to go before pot become legal, the OPP have issued a release to assure the public they will be maintaining a drug and alcohol free workplace.
The release says all OPP officers are expected to report to work fit for duty in a manner that does not compromise or threaten the safety or health of individuals or others, the environment or OPP property.
The force adds if an officer has accomodation needs they will review the request in accordance with provincial rules.
Meantime, the province will launch a new ad campaign today highlighting the potential health risks of cannabis.
