Niagara police made a quick arrest in a St. Catharines bank robbery.
Thanks to help from the public, police were able to track the suspect to an Ontario St. motel and arrested the man around noon yesterday (Saturday).
Police say the EmergencyTask Unit and a team of crisis negotiators secured the area around the motel for public safety.
On Friday a lone male demanded cash from a teller at the Ridley Heights Plaza around 2:30 p.m.
He fled after receiving some cash.
Forty-year-old Jesse McVitte was arrested without incident in connection with the robbery.
