Niagara Police have arrested a man accused of trying to lure women into the sex trade.
The investigation started back in September of 2017 when a young woman was allegedly approached at a store in St.Catharines by a man who said he would give her a job.
Police say in later communication between the two, the man's offer changed to an attempt to recruit the woman into the sex trade.
The NRP arrested and charged 39 year old Sachin Mehta of St. Catharines yesterday.
He is charged with an attempt to commit an indictable offence.
Mehta will appear for a bail hearing today.
