Police are asking whoever stole a burial urn from a Pelham home to please return it.
The NRPS received reports of a break and enter on the evening of January 2nd in the area of Maple Street and Kilman Road.
Investigators believe the urn and some jewellery were stolen from the home earlier that day.
The urn is described as a small wooden box made with barn board with black and light coloured wood.
Out of respect to the family of the deceased, detectives are asking the person responsible to consider turning in the ashes to a safe location, or to contact police.
