A police cruiser remains outside a Thorold home where officers made a gruesome discovery.
Two women are facing charges after a tip from the public lead officers to the house where they found the body of a decomposing man.
Police were called to a home in the Manley Crescent and Keefer Road area on Sunday night.
Niagara Regional Police Constable Phil Gavin says the body was in an advanced state of decomposition when officers found it.
46-year-old Paulette Villamil and 46-year-old Tamara Bernard, both from Thorold, are charged with neglect of a dead body.
Villamil and Bernard are currently being held in custody pending a bail hearing.
