It was another busy night at Montebello Park for the Niagara Grape and Wine Festival in St.Catharines and during that time police were holding a RIDE campaign.
NRP officers with the Traffic Enforcement Unit stopped approximately 350 vehicles in St.Catharines and Thorold.
Of those drivers spoken to 4 were required to provide a roadside breath sample for suspicion of being over the legal blood alcohol level of .80 mgs.
One driver failed to provide a breath sample and was subsequently arrested for failing to provide and further issued a 90 day license suspension and 7 day vehicle impound.
A standard field sobriety test was conducted on two drivers for suspicion of drug impairment.
Both drivers were cleared.
Numerous fines were issued to drivers including one for not having the appropriate licensing to operate an Uber.
