Hamilton police are reviewing an incident that saw a woman hit by a police horse during McMaster University homecoming celebrations.
A video of the weekend incident posted on Canadian Party Life went viral, getting tens of thousands of hits.
It shows two mounted police officers making their way through a crowd in Westdale with one of the horses hitting a woman causing her to fall to the ground.
A police spokesperson says as soon as the officers realized what happened they dismounted and went to the woman's aid.
Paramedics checked her over and she did not require hospitalization.
Police were on scene over the weekend after crowds of up to 3,000 people converged on streets in the Westdale area as part of the annual homecoming celebration.
