Police say they are investigating a possible assault on a security guard after a group of 25 to 30 people showed up to protest the N-D-P convention in Hamilton yesterday.
During N-D-P Leader Jagmeet Singh's keynote speech, the group of activists crashed the convention shouting ``free Palestine.''
Singh's chief of staff says four delegates who left the convention floor to join the activists had their credentials removed by the party because they violated the N-D-P's harassment policy by screaming, yelling and interrupting debate.
On Saturday the party also passed an emergency resolution that addressed the Israel-Hamas war, saying New Democrats stand with -- quote -- ``all people in Israel and Palestine who yearn for peace, freedom and security.''
