Niagara Police are looking for a suspect after an armed robbery in Port Colborne last night.
Police were called just before 7:45 p.m. to the Avondale on Killaly Street East near Davis Street.
A store employee reported that a man walked into the store with a knife and demanded money.
The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash, and no injuries were reported.
The NRPS Canine Unit unsuccessfully attempted to track the suspect, who is believed to have ran south on David Street, after exiting the store.
The suspect is described as a white man, 25-40 years old, 5’4” to 5’6” tall, 175lbs to 190lbs.
He was wearing a black toque with a pink pompom and writing on the front, a black winter jacket, and green, possibly camouflage, pants.
Area residents, specifically those to the south of the Avondale are encouraged to review their security camera footage and contact the lead detective by dialing 905-688-4111, option 3, extension 1008393 with any relevant information.
