The identities of the two people killed in a high-speed car crash and explosion at the Rainbow Bridge border crossing between New York state and Ontario have been released.
The Niagara Falls Police Department says the victims were 53-year-olds Kurt P. Villani and Monica Villani of Grand Island, New York.
Records show that the family of the American couple owns a lumber business and several hardware stores in western New York.
Police are still looking into the cause of the crash.
