The wine may have been flowing freely, but from the looks of things most people were responsible as the Niagara Grape and Wine Festival wrapped up.
Media Specialist for the Niagara Regional Police Stephanie Sabourin says police were on hand to keep an eye on things.
"From a police perspective it was a very successful weekend. We anticipated an increased presence in the downtown core. And so we had additional officers on the street in the downtown core and by the venue as well. Relatively quiet in terms of our police needs."
Sabourin says police worked closely with organizers over the course of the event.
"There's a lot of work between the Niagara Regional Police and our community partners to ensure that if there is alcohol served at any venue that there is an increase responsibility and increased awareness about what needs to happen to make sure the public is kept safe."
Police also stopped about 350 vehicles during R.I.D.E. checks in St. Catharines and Thorold Saturday night.
Two drivers were given breathylzers and one of them registered an alert.
