Police have quickly closed the casebook on an alleged Halloween candy tampering case in St. Catharines.
After confirming a child who had been trick or treating in the Western Hills area of the city recieved some loose pills along with some candy, police quickly began canvassing the neighbourhood.
They say they were able to find the residence where the medication came from and determined there was no malicious intent.
Seems the homeowner, unintentionally gave out the prescription muscle relaxant with the Halloween candy.
Police say they have no reason to believe a criminal offence took place.
