Police are looking for a suspect after an assault in St. Catharines.
According to the NRP, a woman was walking alone in the area of Oakdale Avenue and Hickory Street yesterday afternoon around 2:30 p.m. when an unknown man pushed her to the ground.
During the ensuing struggle, the man pulled out a weapon, but it was never used.
The woman was able to fight him off. He then fled on foot, heading toward the Abbott Street and Ellis Avenue area.
The suspect is described as an unshaven white man between 35 and 40 years old. He had short reddish-brown hair and a general dishevelled appearance. At the time he wore a yellow long sleeved shirt and an old baseball hat.
