NRP are searching for a suspect after a 13 year old Thorold boy and his family called police to report a man had accosted their son.
Police say they were contacted yesterday after the suspect allegedly came up behind the boy and wrapped his arms around him while the child was walking with his scooter earlier in the day.
It happened in the Clara and Taylor Street area.
Police say the boy struck the man with his scooter and ran away.
The boy was not injured.
The suspect is described as 50 to 60 years of age, 180 pounds, shaggy red moustache, wearing sunglasses and a grey mesh hat.
A black truck that may be linked to the incident was also seen in the area at the time.
