Niagara Regional Police officers remain on the scene of the Welland Canal where skeletal remains were discovered last week.
Police launched the search last Thursday in St.Catharines between Lock 1 and 2 in an effort to find any sign of 18 year old Quintin Bingley, who has been missing for seven months.
Bingley, a bright student who was set to attend York University in the fall went missing May 25th after being dropped off at his home by friends.
The NRP discovered human remains last Friday morning in the mostly drained canal and have been at the scene since investigating.
The remains are being described as "unidentifiable."
Police are working with the office of the coroner.
