A 30 year old Port Colborne man was arrested after a loaded shotgun was found in a home.
Police say the incident started earlier today when they conducted an investigation into a man on McCain St. in Port Colborne.
Uniform officers, along with members of the Emergency Task Unit, K9 officer, Crisis Negotiators and the Central Region Detective Office were called out and negotiated with the man and took him into custody at 12:50 pm.
Police obtained a search warrant for a home, where they seized a loaded shotgun in the residence.
30 year old Aaron Martin has been charged with Possession of a Firearm Contrary to Prohibition Order and Careless Storage of a Firearm.
He will be held in custody pending the outcome of a bail hearing to be held in St. Catharines on Friday.
