A Port Colborne property owner will be paying a $7,000 fine forĀ Ontario Fire Code violations.
On November 3rd, 2017 Port Colborne Fire received a complaint concerning a multi-residential building at 780 Elm Street.
Multiple infractions were found during an investigation.
The owner was convicted on August 28th and fined $7,000 and 25% victim surcharge.
Port Colborne's Fire Chief reminds all residents that smoke alarms are mandatory and homes with a fuel burning appliance or attached garage also require a carbon monoxide alarm.
