Star canoeist Laurence Vincent Lapointe says her world has broken down.
The 11-time world champion held an emotional news conference in Montreal this morning, telling reporters she has no idea how the banned substance Ligandrol got into her system and caused a positive drug test.
In a news conference today, the world champion canoeist and her lawyer Adam Klevinas told reporters they're confident the violation was not intentional.
Klevinas says it could be that a supplement Vincent Lapointe took was contaminated -- or there could have been cross-contamination.
Vincent Lapointe was provisionally suspended yesterday and will miss this week's world championships in Hungary, but says she is not abandoning her Olympic dream.
