Postal workers in four Canadian cities are walking the picket lines this morning.
CUP-W, the union representing 50,000 Canada Post workers began the work stoppages after contract talks broke off late last night.
Canada Post says it tabled an offer that included wage and benefit improvements and job security.
But the union says the corporation has refused to talk about key issues including an end to forced overtime.
The rotating strikes this morning are in Windsor, Halifax, Victoria and Edmonton.
Regular mail delivery across the rest of the country will not be impacted.
