The Niagara Region is encouraging residents to report potholes on regional roads.
Recently the region patched up a massive hole along Martindale Road in St. Catharines, but there are reports of other areas in dire need of some attention.
Officials note that while they can make temporary fixes to get motorists through the winter, any longer term repairs will need to wait for the warmer weather.
The region has earmarked $9.5 million for road repair in 2018 - last year they paid $12.5 million to resurface and repair about 51 kilometeres of road.
Residents can report a pothole on the Region’s website or by calling 905-980-6000 ext. 3690 or toll-free at 1-877-552-5579
