Fierce winds wreaked havoc in southern and central Ontario and southern Quebec on Friday.
Gusts nearing 120 km/h knocked down trees and caused widespread property damage.
They were also blamed for the deaths of two men -- one was killed in Milton when police say a tree fell on him -- the other was electrocuted in Hamilton by a downed powerline in his driveway.
As for power outages -- nearly 200,000 utility customers in Ontario and close to 280,000 in southern Quebec were still in the dark in Ontario early Saturday morning.
Alectra Utilities says the estimated time for power restoration is around 5:00 AM this morning in St Catharines.
The QEW in Burlington was closed in both direction at the Burlington Skyway during the rush hour. It re-opened around 8:30 p.m.
The powerful winds also forced Toronto's Pearson airport to shut down for a couple of hours Friday.
