The Province announcing 41 million dollars in funding to build a new high school in West Niagara.
St. Catharines MPP Jim Bradley says the new school is set to open in 2020 and will replace South Lincoln High School, Beamsville District and Grimsby Secondary School.
The location of the new school has not yet been determined, but the DSBN says they're looking for a location to serve all three communities.
Consolidating the schools is a strategy trustees endorsed to counteract the impact of declining enrolment in Niagara.
