The Ford government is moving forward with plans to review the province's regional governments.
They announced plans today to review 8 regional municipalities including Niagara as well as their lower tier municipalities for a total of 82 municipalities to be examined.
Michael Fenn, who has been an Ontario Deputy Minister under three Premiers and a municipal chief administrator in Hamilton and Burlington, and Ken Seiling, a former Chair of Waterloo Region, have been tasked with looking at three areas: governance, decision-making, and service delivery.
Local residents and businesses will be consulted in the spring of 2019.
Results of the review are expected in early summer.
