The province is expected to announce today, the creation of a cannabis control board.
There is word the Wynne Liberals also plan to open up to 60 storefronts initially to manage the sale and distribution of marijuana in the province as well as allow for online sales.
According to media reports, sales will be retricted to those 19 and older.
The stores that sell pot will not be housed inside existing LCBO stores.
The locations of the stores would be determined after municipalities are consulted.
The sale of cannabis will become legal on or before July 1st of next year.
It is up to each province to decide how to sell it and how much to tax it.
