The future of Niagara will be front and centre today as our local two-tired government structure is debated.
An Ontario legislative committee is hosting a meeting at the Holiday Inn in St. Catharines on Ontario Street starting at 10 this morning, and continuing until 6 tonight.
The meeting is open to the public, as members of the committee hear from local politicians, and organizations, about the pros and cons of amalgamation.
Governance in Niagara has been a hot topic for years, with Premier Doug Ford saying several times that Niagara has too many elected officials.
