Niagara Region's Public Health Unit agreeing to meet with Niagara Falls city staff to try and come up with a strategy to deal with an influx of rats in the Honeymoon City.
Mayor Jim Diodati expressing his concern at a public health meeting this week about the rat problem in his city.
Diodati insisting it's time public health get involved to help solve the problem.
Other regional councillors were also in agreement, saying their respective municipalities are having a similar problem.
As a result, senior staff with the health unit will meet with Niagara Falls staff to come up with a better approach to dealing with the rodent issue.
