Residents of Welland are hoping to get some answers about the closure of the Forks Road Bridge during a public meeting.
Tomorrow, city staff will be answering questions and concerns in the Community Room of Civic Square from 5 p.m. - 6 :30 p.m.
The bridge was closed in early November after engineers determined the structure was no longer safe for vehicular traffic.
Engineers are now working on a timeline for how long the bridge will be able to safely support pedestrians due to the extent of the corrosion.
City officials say the cost to rehabilitate the structure would be too costly, and they are now considering bridge replacement alternatives.
