Quebec’s Public Health Director is defending the decision to stop publishing new COVID-19 cases and deaths on a daily basis.
Horacio Arruda says a weekly report will provide a more accurate picture of the trends, since low numbers can lead to big day-to-day fluctuations.
Arruda says the numbers will still be monitored and the public will be informed of any big changes.
Arruda also announced today that bars, spas, casinos, and almost all the remaining sectors of the economy that were closed due to COVID-19 are allowed to re-open.
