It will take quite some time to identify the remains discovered in the Welland Canal in St.Catharines.
Sandra Bingley, the grandmother of missing teen Quintin Bingley tells CKTB they have been told that DNA results on skeletal remains could take 30 days to come back.
Niagara Regional Police launched a search of the canal between Lock 1 and 2 last Thursday on January 3rd looking for any signs Bingley who went missing in May of last year.
Human remains found on Friday January 4th and sent to the coroner's office for identification.
Bingley says her family is in limbo as they wait for the results.
