The NRP is continuing to fight impaired driving with R.I.D.E. checks in the Town of Smithville and the Town of Beamsville.
Checkpoints were set up at several locations throughout the two towns on Friday.
Officers checked approximately 175 drivers during the campaign.
Of those, 13 drivers were required to provide breath samples.
These tests resulted in the arrest of two drivers for impaired driving.
One had his licence suspended for 3-days for having over 50 milligrams of alcohol in their blood, and one person was arrested for possession for the purpose of trafficking after a large amount of marijuana was found in his vehicle.
Officers also issued 10 Provincial Offence Notices for Highway Traffic Act offences.
With impaired driving still being the leading criminal cause of death in Canada, the NRP wants to remind you to call 911 if you suspect an impaired driver.
