Canada Border Services in Niagara has made another large seizure of guns.
On October 16th, officers at the Rainbow Bridge in Niagara Falls searched a vehicle and found 20 firearms.
Border officials say a detector dog team discovered the undeclared handguns concealed inside an after-market compartment in the vehicle.
28 year old Marquise Tariff Watkins of Niagara Falls New York was arrested and charged with wilful evasion, providing false statements and attempt to smuggle, all contrary to the Customs Act.
Niagara Regional Police also laid several charges.
Watkins is set to appear in court tomorrow. (Nov. 14th)
A similar bust at the Peace Bridge on Halloween confiscated 25 handguns concealed in a gas tank.
