Families and friends who have lost loved ones at the Hamilton Detention Centre or other correctional facilities across the province will stage a rally demanding action this weekend.
Demonstrators will be out in front of the Barton Street jail at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
It's been 10 months since an inquest jury made 62 recommendations to prevent further inmate deaths, many of them from drug overdoses.
The Corrections Ministry has until May to respond, which critics say means there is the possibility another family could suffer a senseless loss.
