There will be a rally at 5:30 p.m. outside St. Catharines City Hall.
The rally is being organized by supporters of those upset with recent staffing changes made by the Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority.
The group is hoping for a large turnout to support St. Catharines Councillor Bruce Williamson's motion that is set to go before St. Catharines City Council tonight.
The motion says the NPCA continues to demonstrate an inability to operate effectively and in a transparent and accountable way.
Mayor Walter Sendzik speaking on CKTB's roundtable says the motion essentially says city council has lost confidence in the management of the Authority to conduct it operations within government standards.
Williamson's motion calls for the City of St. Catharines to notify the Niagara Region of its intentions to develop its own selection process for its representation on the board after the next municipal election in 2018.
