The Mayor of Niagara Falls and the Chair of the Niagara Region will be out today in support of casino jobs.
The two are spearheading a rally set for 4:00 in front of Fallsview Casino to discuss the province's decision to look for a new operator for the city's gaming facilities with casino workers.
The move is expected to put up to 1,400 jobs in jeopardy.
Both Alan Caslin and Jim Diodati have asked the province to hold off on a request for proposals from potential operators until a meeting to discuss the possible job losses
But last Friday, Ontario Finance Minister Charles Sousa informed the pair the RFP will proceed as planned.
