If you're travelling through Hamilton this morning, there is some good news - the Red Hill has reopened after a rolled transport truck spilled 44,000 litres of liquid asphalt onto the road.
The commuter headaches started around 4:30 yesterday morning as police closed the heavily travelled roadway for extensive clean up and repairs following the single vehicle crash.
It's still unclear why the northbound truck hit the overpass, but firefighters rescued two people from the truck.
A 34 year old man and a 47 year old man were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Officials with the City of Hamilton say repairs to the highway may continue into next week.
