Niagara's new regional council wasting no time in revisiting some controversial policies.
St. Catharines rookie regional councillor Laura Ip has asked for a review of council's expense and code of conduct policies.
Both were hot button issues during the last term of council especially after it was revealed some council members were expensing lobster meals and having taxpayers pay for their mileage to Toronto to appear on radio programs.
Ip wants to see improvements to both policies.
Staff is expected to report back to councillors in February.
Ip made the requests during Wednesday's meeting of the corporate services committee.
