First it was the Sunshine List, now we are finding out how much regional councillors billed taxpayers for expenses in 2016.
St. Catharines Councillor Bruce Timms topping the list.
Timms was paid close to $64,000 in salary as well as expenses, part of his salary includes the $12,000 he received as chair of the NPCA.
Regional Chair Alan Caslin had the highest mileage expenses followed by several councillors.
Fort Erie's Sandy Annunziata came in second at just over $6,000, followed by Grimsby's Tony Quirk at close to $5,000 and St. Catharines Councillor Andy Petrowski coming in just under $4,000.
ThoroldĀ Mayor Ted Luciani was one of the lowest, billing taxpayers just $295 in mileage.
Tim Rigby of St. Catharines was the only regional councillor not to submit mileage claims.
All toll, regional council salaries and expenses cost us just over $1.5 million last year.
