The future of the oldest home in St. Catharines will be up for discussion this weekend.
And for those of you who don't know, the house in question, is the old Brown homestead on Pelham Road across from Shorthills Provincial Park.
Andrew Humeniuk, the site's executive director, says part of the home was built in 1796 and for most of its life was a working farmhouse and that's why it was not the focal point of attention.
But now plans are in the works to turn The Brown Homestead into a cultural venue, offering community festivals, public and private events, and creative educational programming.
Humeniuk says they will unveil results of a study on the future of the historic site tomorrow at a meeting at Brock University.
