The first of several Remembrance Day ceremonies takes place this weekend in Niagara.
Today (Sunday) a ceremony will be held in Fort Erie.
The Royal Canadian Legion will be honouring the memory of those Canadians who laid down their lives for their country with a parade from the Legion (130 Garrison Road) to Mather Arch at 2 p.m.
The Niagara Parks Commission also says it will be flying flags at Mather Arch at half mast from sunrise to sunset on Sunday as well.
Flags will also be lowered throughout the park system on Remembrance Day, November 11th to commemorate the sacrifices and contributions made by veterans and current service personnel in both Canada and the U-S.
