Ontario Premier Doug Ford will be in St. Catharines today to make an announcement.
Ford will be at the Kristen French Advocacy Centre in St. Catharines at 10 o'clock.
He will be joined by Solicitor General Sylvia Jones, the Associate Minister of Children and Women's Issues Jill Dunlop, and MPP for Niagara West Sam Oosterhoff.
The Globe and Mail is reporting that Ford will invest $202-million over five years in a massive strategy targeting human trafficking.
The Kristen French Advocacy Centre opened in 2008 serving Niagara’s 12 municipalities by helping children and families cope with incidents of child abuse.
Before the Niagara region had the centre, children and youth victims were subjected to multiple interviews at multiple locations.
