Positions being hired for are:
· Poll supervisor
· Affidavit clerk
· Vote tabulator operator
· Deputy Returning Officer
· Information clerk/greeter
· Poll clerk (advance polls only)
Each municipality will have different staffing requirements and hiring processes, and those interested in submitting their name should visit their municipality’s election web page – which can be found through www.niagaravotes.ca for more information.
Election workers play a significant role in their municipality’s election, ensuring the process runs smoothly by greeting and directing voters and verifying important information.
No prior experience is required and municipalities will hold training sessions for new and returning workers, including training on what’s new for the 2018 election, such as the direct elect of the Niagara Regional Chair.
Some municipalities may require applicants to take a test.
