A partial evacuation is being lifted at the Greater Niagara General Hospital in Niagara Falls.
The partial evacuation began around 10 a.m. after police were called when security at the hospital discovered a suspicious package.
"That package was located by security personel on the grounds of GNGH, not in the facility, but on the grounds outside," NRP Constable Phil Gavin says. "We attended and out of an abundance of caution we've called in our Explosive Disposal Unit to investigate it further."
Police requested a partial evacuation as the investigation began, but NRP Media Relations Specialist Stephanie Sabourin has now said the situation is resolved and the evacuation is being lifted.
Officials for Niagara Health say Police, Fire, and Security has determined there was no threat to the hospital and everything is back up and running.
