Work continues at some of Niagara's National Historic Sites.
New funding from the federal government is allowing for protection measures along all 600 metres of shoreline at Fort Mississauga, preserving archaeological resources and ensuring public safety.
The tower, two powder magazines, the sally port, and the main gate wing walls are also being restored.
Elsewhere, visitors to Fort George will notice resurfaced pathways and roads and energy efficient lighting. This fall, restoration work is planned for the grounds and Navy Hall.
All told, the investment from the feds is around $13.6 million.
