Niagara police stopped about 300 vehicles in RIDE checks Welland and Lincoln Saturday night.
Seven drivers were required to provide breath samples for suspicion of impaired driving.
Police say they noticed a significant increase in vehicles with the smell of marijuana. But no charges were laid.
Numerous fines were issued to drivers under the Highway Traffic Act and for insurance and liquor violations.
