The Niagara Region Conservation Authority is out with an update this afternoon on the condition of the Lake Erie shoreline.
With expected wind gusts of 100 kilometres an hour, water levels at Port Colborne could increase with the storm surge by 0.70m over current levels with significant wave heights of 1.5m
Peak water levels are expected Friday night
During this time, there is an increased risk of shoreline flooding and erosion resulting from strong wave action and storm surge. Residents living along Lake Erie are urged to monitor the situation closely.
