OPP officials say deaths on our roadways are down as we head into Road Safety Week.
The latest figures show 58 have died so far this year on OPP patrolled roads.
By this time last year, there were 97 fatalities, with more than half linked to speed, alcohol or drug use, inattentive driving, and failing to wear a seat belt.
Although officials are relieved to see the decrease, they warn poor behaviours on the road can easily tip the scales.
Road Safety Week runs through the upcoming long weekend.
