Robbery at Coins Unlimited in Welland

Niagara police were called to Coins Unlimited on Niagara Street in Welland after a reported break and enter.

The call came in about 5:10 a.m. Friday morning.
Police say the owner of the business interrupted three male suspects who were fleeing the store after the break in.
The owner managed to detain one of the suspects before he was able to get away and take off in a black SUV.
Police say a large quantity of jewelry was stolen and damage to the store is in the thousands.
Police are requesting that anyone who may have witnessed either the incident itself, or the escape of the black SUV along Niagara Street, to contact Detectives in the Welland Detective Office at (905) 688-4111 ext. 3300
