Niagara is being hit by the rotating postal strikes again.
Today, postal workers in St. Catharines, Welland, Smithville and Fort Erie will be on strike along with union members from Toronto's east end, Brantford, Fort Erie, Guelph, and Simcoe.
Last night, Canada Post released a statement saying since October 22, the strikes from CUP W have shut down operations in more than 70 communities.
The crown corporation warns customers could see delays of several days.
On the union's website, CUP W National President Mike Palecek says, "We are entering our third week of rotating strikes because management still refuses to address the urgent health and safety issues that have left postal workers the most injured group of workers in the federal sector. We have a health and safety crisis at Canada Post. We've seen injury rates skyrocket. This has got to be fixed.”
