Niagara Falls MPP Wayne Gates and Child and Youth Services Critic, MPP Monique Taylor will host a roundtable on the Ontario Autism Program tomorrow.
The NDP MPP along with Taylor will be discussing the Ford government’s changes to the Ontario Autism Program, as well as community concerns about services and supports for adults and children with developmental disabilities.Â
The event will be held tomorrow from 6:30-8:00pm at the Optimist Club Niagara Falls on Morrison Street.
Meantime, Ontario's social services minister says she won't attend a protest planned at the legislature tomorrow by parents of children with autism because she has received threats.
Lisa MacLeod says the tone of the debate has given her concerns about her security.
The Financial Accountability Office also says today that they will investigate the budget for the autism program, after the Liberals raised concerns about the government's claims.
